Yogyakarta is the capital of the so called Exclussive Territory of Yogyakarta, an Indonesian province in central Java. Dated to the ancient history of the region, Yogyakarta remains a kingdom inside Indonesia, with its Sultan/King as the governor. This city is one of the most original cultural center of the javanese, the large ethnic group in Indonesia. Tourists come to Yogyakarta to enjoy the traditions of the ancient kingdom. People mostly speak javanese in their daily life.
I will add more pictures in the near future. Students from Poland who receive Darmasiswa Scholarship to Indonesia often choose this city as their destination.
